When thinking about an event, I consider why people will be in attendance, who those people are, and what will make the experience different from all others. I believe that for an event to be a success, it’s more about creating a temporary world and less about bringing people together in one location. While concept development, vendor management, security planning, budgeting, and event logistics are imperative, the perfect union of people, music, energy, location, concept, and time is at the forefront of my mind when creating an event.
I began producing my own events geared towards the LA high school scene when I was 14 years old. Since then, my love for bringing people together through immersive live experiences has continued to grow. Combining community-building and music, I created a new live-event concept revolving around a space free from mobile phones. Through this, I explore how my generation relates to music and community and how giving our full attention to a moment is the best way to build that community.
